Haruv Institute - Annual Report 2018

The year 2018 concluded a decade of the Haruv Institute’s highly meaningful activities and undertakings for Israel’s maltreated children. In honor of the tenth anniversary a special logo was designed, with the text: A Decade of Activism for Children, which during the course of the year appeared on the Institute’s various publications. On April 15, 2018, a major event was held saluting the Institute’s decade of work. Asummarizingfilmwas produced for this occasion, and a special joint publication of the “Ha’aretz” newspaper and the Haruv Institute was printed in both Hebrew and English. The main celebratory event was held at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem and began with a guided tour on the subject of children’s art in the museum. Following a reception for the invited guests, everyone gathered in the auditorium to view the short film summarizing the first decade of the Institute’s activities (the film is available on the Institute’s website). Following greetings by Prof. Asher Ben-Arieh and representatives of the Schusterman Foundation, the guests were treated to a performance by Miki Gavrielov and his daughter, Shira Gavrielov, with a program of songs of Arik Einstein. The entire evening was a tribute and a salute to all the Institute’s partners and associates in the course of its first decade of activity. Among the guests were professionals who work with the Institute, Schusterman Foundation personnel, lecturers and supervisors, and professionals who had taken part in training, education programs, seminars, conferences, etc.
