The CHRYSO ® Color range of iron oxide pigments for colouring concrete is available in powder form with a colour matching service offered by CHRYSO ® ’s colour laboratory. Applicable to tiles, blocks, readymix and other concrete formulations, the CHRYSO ® Color range includes the popular grades used by PCMs. “With our technical expertise in the manufacturing and application of a comprehensive range of admixture and colour products, we can make sure that customers get a tailored solution to make their operation more efficient,” Engelbrecht says. “We can also make recommendations regarding wet precast concrete which use high performance water reducers/plasticisers that are, in turn, frequently used in conjunction with chloride-free accelerating admixtures.” CHRYSO ® Southern Africa recently supplied its admixtures to the renewable energy sector, with Premia 550 (a new generation high range water reducing super-plasticiser) and Quad 20 (a viscosity modifying enhancing admixture) being used. They were key components of a self-compacting concrete for precast tower components for the Nxuba Project, a wind farm near Somerset East in the Eastern Cape. Of interest was the fact that an environmentally friendly demoulding oil, CHRYSO ® Dem Bio 10 was also supplied and used on the project. In conjunction with its sister company a.b.e. – specialists in coatings and sealants – there is also a range of cementitious repair solutions for wet precast. These include Durarep FC, Durarep FR and Patch-It and Epidermix 344 wet to dry epoxy. 
