• Ink Blotters: My grandfather, W.J. Savage, Sr. (I am the III and my father was Jr. and my son Jay

is the IV and last in the line as he has a daughter, Rebecca) owned W. J. Savage & Co. Hardware

in Bolivar and they used ink blotters extensively as he retired in 1945. I now have over 175 ink

blotters … many of which came originally from his store!

• Hotel Soap: I have over 2,500 bars of hotel soap … each bar from a different hotel in the USA. Someday I plan to have a “big map of the USA and the 50 states on the wall” and I will mount the bars of soap in each state where they came from! Pictured below are just a few bars…
