First Regular Season Triple-Double Game, 2006 Paul’s first career triple-double as an NBA pro came while he was a rookie with New Orleans on April 2, 2006, in a game against the Toronto Raptors. The performance was the icing on the cake for a rookie season that saw him named Rookie of the Year for the league. He scored 24 points in the contest and had 12 assists and 12 rebounds as his team won the game 120–113.

Although his first triple-double as a member of the Hornets occurred in 2006 as a rookie,

his last triple-double as a member of the team happened in an April 24, 2011, must-win four-playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. Paul scored 27 points with 15 assists and 13 rebounds in a 93–88 victory.
