Recommended Books for Children of All Ages By Gabriella Mancuso

Children of all ages enjoy reading a good book. The hard part about this is finding the right book to read. Not everyone likes the same genres, and everyone has their preference. Despite all these obstacles in choosing a good read there are a handful that every child should read.

Love You Forever by Robert Munsch

This book is a picture book, aimed for younger ages mostly, is about the love a mother has for her son. It tells the story of their caring relationship throughout time as each person grows older.

The Giver by Lois Lowery

This novel is about a “perfect society”. Throughout the book a boy is given the ability to see the imperfections with the world, and soon the perfect “society” once created to shield the citizens from harm begins to unravel.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

This book tells the story of a young girl who, abandoned by her mom, lives with the Hubermann family during the time or WorldWar II.

Junie B Jones by Barbara Park

This title serves a series of books written about a young girl named Junie B Jones. Throughout the series Junie B learns what it’s like to go to school, grow up, make friends, use your imagination and face hard obstacles brought upon a young child.

The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan

This series is about a young man named Percy who soon learns his life is connected to a world filled with Greek mythological creatures. Throughout the series Percy must adapt to this change, and fight battles in order to preserve his family name and home.

Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak

Being one of my favorite books ever written personally, this book tells the story of what happens when a child named Max gets sent to his roomwithout dinner and falls asleep only to wake up in the forest where the “wild things” roam.
