ASSOCIATE Magazine FBINAA Q2-2025
1. Increasing active participation from FBINAA members: Only about 15,000 of more than 56,000 graduates of the NA are active; there is certainly room for improvement. If elected, my priority will be to extract insights from the National Office’s recent survey on the association to better understand the best practices for retention that can be deployed nationally and at the chapter level. The vision of the FBINAA is the “continuous development of the world’s strongest law enforcement leadership network.” Let’s focus on that vision of the future by working hard to grow our membership today. 2. Enhance Officer Wellness, Resiliency, Recruitment, and Retention: While often considered separately, recruitment and retention and officer wellness and resiliency are interdependent. We must do everything in our power to support our incumbent officers, protect this industry, and highlight this noble profession of service. Our greatest strength as the FBINAA is our net work of professionals, and I believe through strategic communication, we can create a central repository of best practices, innovative solutions, and proven techniques for officer wellness, retention, and recruitment. 3. Strengthening Cross-Chapter Knowledge Transfer: Like many others, the best thing I took home from the FBINAA was the connection to a community of professionals that I developed there. My engagement with the FBINAA during my session and since then has allowed me to see firsthand the impressive caliber of resolute law enforcement officers and the sheer brilliance of their innovative approaches to strengthening the profession. From MD/DE’s bourbon barrel fundraiser to Florida’s Christmas auction to SC’s monthly lunch meetings, there are so many fantastic programs out there. The ability to cache these ideas and exchange them across chapters would empower every chapter to learn from the victories of others. I love our association, and I have a passion to make it even better. I hope to earn that chance in the coming election. – “Jimmy C for Section III” www.crayton4section3.com
