• Mounts flat to the door
• Gray rigid PVC extrusion
• Surface mount retainer can be screwed to most doors
allowing the use of most single Dart style gaskets.
• Retainer will add 9/32" thickness to the gasket area and
will in most cases require hinges to be shimmed or a higher
offset hinge.
• You must have 1-1/4" reveal around the outer edge of the door (where the
existing gasket sits) to insure that the retainer will lie flat.
• Screws can be countersunk into the retaining groove for mounting. The gasket
dart may be notched at the screw heads to allow proper fit.
• If shipping via UPS, retainer must be cut.
How to install a Gasket Retainer
•
Remove Old Track:
Slit the track with a razor knife down the
center of the groove. The track will lift out in two pieces.
•
Install Replacement Track:
Cut the track to length with mitered
corners. Slide the inside pan of the door into the slot on the "A"
side of the track in the diagram above. With the track in the proper
position in the corners, push down on the "B" side of the track to
snap into place.
