whole system to limit component failures.
The modular structure and a complete
diagnosis system allow for quick and
easy maintenance in order to reduce
production stops.
A special digital control system has been
developed for an optimum phase locking
(and then for an efficiency increasing). It
also has the possibility to follow the change
of frequency (with any working condition)
due to load variation.
The Saet Group provides full technical
support, with a quick and cheap solution
available in the form of remote teleservice.
This allows the company’s technicians to
operate directly on the welding unit without
paying a visit.

www.saetgroup.comEmmedi, part of Italy’s Saet Group, has
launched a new solid state welder, with
250kW output power, based on a Mosfet
inverter able to work up to 450kHz.
The new welder is comprised of units
including transformer, power supply,
welding head, cooling system and control
desk.
The power supply is a three-phase full
bridge thyristor rectifier. Proper filters are
inserted in order to reduce the harmonic
components that may effect the welding
process. A system control board is included
that communicates with the inverter through
optical fibres.
The inverter is a current fed type,
composed of a suitable number of modules
(each power rated to 25kW). The modules
are connected in parallel, with an output
oscillating circuit directly connected to the
inverter.
The necessary protections (hardware
and software) have been implemented
