KID

101

Pair the right cruise with the

right kid for a family vacation

everyone will enjoy.

FAMILY TOGETHER TIME:

PRINCESS CRUISES

Princess ships have Youth Centers and Teen

Lounges, but family time isn’t forgotten. A Family

Fun Fair (complete with carnival games and

entertainment), family dance parties, and more

involve the whole gang. Family Shore Excursions

feature Discovery and Animal Planet branded

options and a range of accommodations include

family suites that can sleep up to eight on

select ships.

LOW-KEY KIDS:

REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES

Kids who won’t be fussed by the lack of a dedicated

kids’ space or mainly adult company will enjoy

Regent sailings. If you are keen to bump into other

families, choose one of the select summer or holiday

sailings that feature the Club Mariner Youth Program

(kids aged five to 17 years). Options for fun range

from dance parties to mini-putt tournaments.

TODDLERS TO TEENS:

CARNIVAL

Families with kids at different ages will love this

one. Kids as young as two can join the Camp

Ocean kids’ clubs, teens will love the part-zip line,

part-bicycle SkyRide, and the water slides at

WaterWorks will thrill everyone in between. Hasbro,

The Game Show (where family game night favourites

are transformed into giant oversized multi-family fun)

and the multi-sport SportSquare will get everyone

working together.

SHORE THING:

HOLLAND AMERICA LINE

Club HAL groups kids according to age and offers

registered activities throughout the day on the ship,

but shore excursions are where they shine. In Alaska,

you can sign the family up for dog-sledding

adventures, and on select itineraries, there are

kids-only excursion options as well. Kids with special

needs are welcomed by fully trained staff (advise

at time of booking). Club HAL is offered on board all

ships except for

ms Prinsendam

.

EXPLORERS:

UNCRUISE ADVENTURES

Kids ages eight or older are welcome on all UnCruise

sailings (younger kids will require special approval).

Fans of wild animals and exploring the outdoors will

especially love this small ship adventure. Friendly crew

members interact with kids on board, offering a range

of activities from arts and crafts to paddle board races

and tide pool treasure hunts.

MULTIGENERATIONAL FREESTYLE:

NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE

There’s no stressing over gathering your large family together

on Norwegian ships. Freestyle Dining means everyone can eat

whenever suits them. Activities on board range from low-key

Broadway style shows to a two-level electric-car race track

and an open-air laser tag course, so young and young-at-heart

can choose the activities that suit them best.
