Wire & Cable ASIA – September/October 2007
wire 2008 Düsseldorf is the world’s
largest and most important trade fair
for the wire and cable industry.
Expectations for wire 2008 and Tube
2008 are already high – after more
than 650 exhibiting companies from
36 countries have registered for the
Düsseldorf shows between 31
st
March
and 4
th
April.
Already, 43,000m² of net exhibition
space has been rented – 11,000m² more
than the same period two years ago.
Companies already registered are
coming from Belgium, France, Italy,
Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, China and
India, among many others.
Tube has also exceeded its 2005
interim registration figures – even
during May.
While in May 2005, 22,500m² had
been rented for Tube, a further 5,000m²
of net exhibition space has already
been sold, with 360 exhibitors from
29
countries
having
bindingly
registered for the international tube
trade fair in Düsseldorf.
The week will see the world’s most
important trade fairs for the wire, cable
and tube and pipe industries, wire
and Tube, held concurrently in
Düsseldorf, along with one of the
leading international fairs for manu-
facturing technology, Metav. This
arrangement will benefit the exhibitors
and visitors to all three events because
a wealth of synergies are anticipated
for all these target groups.
Exhibitors at Metav will occupy
exhibition Halls 1 to 5 and 15 to 17
while Tube exhibitors will present their
products in Halls 6 to 8b and wire firms
can be found in Hall 9 to 14.
Messe Düsseldorf and the German
Machine Tool Builders’ Association
(Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinen-
fabriken – VDW), as the organisers of
Metav, expect more than 100,000
visitors to attend the three trade fairs at
the Exhibition Centre in Düsseldorf
over the five days of the exhibition.
