Overview

For students who have a keen interest in Science, we offer Biology, Chemistry and

Physics as separate subjects. Those students who choose Triple Science, consisting

of a GCSE in each in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, study the same content as

Double Science and also an additional module in each of the three sciences.

We follow the AQA Specification, and the content covered and the skills developed

ensure our students are particularly well-prepared for any of the A Level science

subjects. To be eligible for this course, we would expect students to attain a Level

6/7 in their end of KS3 Teacher Assessment. This is an entry requirement for this

course.

Each of the three Sciences will be assessed with two 1 hour 45 minute papers taken

at the end of Year 11, each worth 50% of the grade.

£15 revision guides

Trips

We offer many academic extra-curricular opportunities, such as hosting lectures,

workshops and taking our students to other schools and institutions to gain first-

hand experience of aspects of science of interest to the students.
