wo of the world’s most
prestigious Italian brands have
combined their ideals and
vision of excellence in a new
creation. Bulgari, renowned
designer of fine jewellery and luxury
goods since 1884 and Maserati,
manufacturers of luxury sports cars
since 1914, have collaborated to
create the exquisite
Octo Maserati
special series, a collection of
fine watches with combined
expertise and dedication
from both houses. The watch
collection was presented
at Bulgari’s showroom in
Prague earlier this year. The
event was attended by over
a hundred people, including
Maserati owners and Bulgari
customers.
The
Octo Maserati
is powered by haute
horlogerie movement that
features the refined self-
winding mechanical Calibre
GG7800. The graphic layout
of the various displays
provides time-measurement
information that makes it
unique within the exclusive
circle
of
complicated
mechanisms. Besides having the
jumping hour displayed through
a window at 12 o’clock, the
manufacture-made movement lines
up four retrograde displays of the
minutes, date and chronograph hour
and minute counters. What is quite
unusual about these unique watches is
that the central chronograph seconds
hand is positioned at 6 o’clock, which
means that the hour indication is never
covered.
