The embroidered ‘W’ stitching
initialled on each back pocket
is a cattle branding for jeans
that reads “Western Wear”.
The back pockets also have
tone on tone horizontal
stitching for a second layer
of fabric, which reinforces
the pockets from inside and
provides strength throughout.
The folded ridges of fabric at
the seams make up the felled
seam. Wrangler makes this
feature functional by creating
a downward-facing lip in
the yoke running above high
rear pockets, thus keeping
essentials trapped inside.
Leather patches have
featured on the right back
pocket of Wrangler jeans
since 1947. Previously it
read ‘Blue Bell’s Wrangler
Authentic Western Jeans’ but
today the name stands alone,
single-handedly representing
tough, top-quality, authentic
denim garments. Wrangler’s
rope’ signature is one of
the ultimate icons of denim-
wear. As the brand’s jeans are
designed for the outdoors,
for freedom of movement
and for surviving on your
wits, the rope logo is seen
as a sign of action. Since the
first Wrangler jean debuted
in 1947, future designs have
taken on the seven belt loop
concept; threading aWrangler
premium grade leather belt
will keep the jeans locked
firmly to your body.
