AJEX & Turner has introduced a new
pressure die for K340 with the
collaboration of TKT Italy.
The pressure die-casting is for very
rapid production of engineering and
other related components even with an
intricate design.
With its revolutionary concept, it
becomes a real dismantable drawing
tool adapted to meet all operational
requirements. The tool consists of
three parts – the steel casing, tungsten
carbide pressure die and one part
subject to wear (the easily and rapidly
replaceable tungsten carbide drawing
nib).
The first two parts have indefinite life.
Pressure dies have gained popularity in
the wire and cable industry for the
following reasons:
• Constant production at maximum
drawing speed
• Maximises die performance and
leads to high productivity
• Good cast surface finish and
productivity
• Can be cast with closed tolerance
• Rejection due to casting defects
being very low
• Better and homogeneous wire
quality due to substantially
improved lubrication
