A. Cone Drills:

B. Run Block Progression Drills
1. 6 point Stance,
On whistle, Players will Shoot their hips and strike the bag (drive the elbows
inside & make contact with a triangle of hat & hands (eyes and thumbs up) to
a lockout; Player should nish with his body extended and his eyes to the sky.
Do 3 quick reps, and then move to the next player.
2. 4 point Stance,
On whistle, Players will Shoot their hips and strike the bag (drive the elbows
inside & make contact with a triangle of hat & hands (eyes and thumbs up) to
a lockout; contact the short ribs &“lift him out of his socks”on a 45 degree
angle with fork lift motion). Player should nish with his body extended and
his eyes to the sky. Do 3 quick reps, and then move to the next player.
3. 2 point Stance
On whistle, Players will step with called foot, shoot their hips (unlock the
power) and strike the bag (drive the elbows inside & make contact with a
triangle of hat & hands (eyes and thumbs up) to a lockout; contact the short
ribs &“lift him out of his socks”on a 45 degree angle with fork lift motion). Do
3 quick reps, then move to the next player.
4. Fit Position to Drive
Start in a t position in the bag: Arch in the back, elbows inside & contact
with a triangle of hat & hands feet at on the ground and slightly toed in and
weight on the instep of the feet (eyes and thumbs up).
On whistle, Players will maintain a wide base. They will sink their hips and
keep their weight distributed through the insteps of their feet. The feet will be
slightly toed which will help maintain their balance. They will drive the bag
for 5 yards.
5. Punch to Fit to Drive
From a 3 point stance players will step, strike the bag, get into a t position,
drive the bag down the eld.
6. Punch to Fit to Drive to Climb & Finish
Two whistle drill. On rst whistle same as above. On second whistle Players
will shoot their arms and quickly activate their feet and nish the block.
