record of fifteen matches without defeat….Bugbrooke Reserves win the Northants Lower Junior Cup beating
their ON Chenecks counterparts 2-1 in the final….Holbeach retain the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy with a 4-1
Sincil Bank defeat of Bottesford….Fixture congestion prompts Whitworth to withdraw from the

beat Quorn 5-0 in the Loughborough Charity Cup final….A broken leg suffered by Yaxley’s Matt Barber sees the
Hinchingbrooke Cup final with Royston abandoned with the score 1-1 – the clubs agree to share the
trophy….The Reserve Supplementary Cup final sees Cogenhoe win 2-0 against AFC Kempston who were re-
instated in the competition after Desborough played an ineligible player in their quarter final

newcomers are Lutterworth Athletic from the East Midlands Counties League and new club to senior football

Bedfordshire County League ending 58 years in membership….Managerial departures are Lee Harriman at
Oadby, Matt Freeman and Steve Sargent at Whitworth, Lee Howard at Raunds and Mick Ogier at
Harborough….Manager appointments are Kris Jones at Sleaford, Jim Le Masurier and Scott Manning at Raunds
and Jeff Stocking at Oadby while Woodford hand Mark O’Callaghan the reins for a second time….Harrowby

floodlights….Blackstones withdraw their reserve side….John Chand resigns as Holbeach manager and is
replaced at Carters Park by former Sleaford boss Glen Maddison….James Daldy is promoted from reserve
duties to take the Whitworth reins….Newcomers St Neots Saints appoint Steve Kuhne as their
manager….Yaxley stages the Annual General Meeting where awards are presented to first team fair play
winners Rothwell Corinthians and reserve winners Oadby, who also take the hospitality award for referee
marks….Potton top the club marks with Spalding winning the Highest Aggregate of Goals trophy…..Individual
accolades go to Manager of the Year John Chand of Holbeach, Referee of the Year Kevin Seckington and
Administrator of the Year Cathy Stevens of Thrapston….Presentations are also made to league officials and
match officials with 21 years service…..League vice chairman George Whiting and management committee
member Mick Walden are made presentations to mark 50 year involvements in football.
