After April’s successful wire 2014 in Düsseldorf,
Germany, the industry turns its attention Stateside
for Wire Expo.
The Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, plays
host to the show from 6
th
to 7
th
May.
The
event
incorporates
technical
paper
presentations, an exhibition and product
demonstrations throughout the two-day event.
Wire Expo originated in Boston in 1990 and has
been hosted throughout the USA since, with
exhibiting companies including suppliers to the
wire, cable, fastener, formed and fabricated wire
products. Companies have represented all sectors
of metal and bre.

Also in this issue is news that Nexans is deploying
the world’s longest and deepest XLPE cable
system. This can be found on page 9.
There are departures and arrivals to the executive
board of the International Wire and Machinery

Upturn in the market has also led to one UK
company putting into action its expansion plans.
