Furnaces head to China

CMI Industry Metals will supply 16 heating and heat

treatment furnaces to Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co

Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of the Nanshan Group, for its

high-quality thermal processing related to superalloys in

Nanshan’s ‘Aviation Materials Park’.

Nanshan Group, a large-scale private joint-stock enterprise,

comprising over 40 companies, is investing into the

construction of an integrated alloy plant in Nanshan, China.

The CMI full-range supply will feature rotary furnaces, box

furnaces, car bottom furnaces, ventilated box heat

treatment furnaces, and the associated line equipment like

quenching, manipulators for material handling and

charging cars, as well as the comprehensive range of

services comprising planning, design, manufacture,

assembly, commissioning and training.

The supply will be a combination of both gas and electrical

furnaces. The applied CMI process technologies are based

on a sound track record of successfully running references

for several major blue chip companies supplying high end

industrial sectors.

An optimised equipment design using numerical

simulations and dedicated mathematical models, as well

as easy operator interfaces, secure systems management

programs, and precise process control to reach optimum

heat curves and temperature uniformity, are major

elements of the CMI solution.

Success in Asia

Wiedenbach Apparatebau’s appearance at

wire China 2014 and Wire & Cable India 2014

proved very successful, with meetings with

numerous customers and potential customers

underlining that the demand for cable in these

two economic areas will continue.

One of the growing requirements is the trend

towards smaller cable diameters and also

smaller inscriptions.

Therefore, the visitors at the Wiedenbach

booth expressed interest in a new small

character printer that can create high-quality

fonts down to a minimum height of only

0.8mm.

On display was live cable printing with a high

pigmented white ink adhering extremely well to

PE as well as the newly introduced ‘Command

Control System’ (CCS), a web-based software

solution with which single printers and printer

series can be set and controlled remotely via

the Internet, and even by smartphone.
