IPA Forge New
Partnership
with IACP
While visiting Section USA for their 50th Anniversary in
Washington D.C., International President, Pierre-Martin Moulin,
took the opportunity of holding a meeting with Bart Johnson.
Mr Johnson is executive director of the International Association of
Chiefs of Police (IACP). The IACP is a worldwide organisation, with
more than 20,000 members in more than 100 countries.
Pierre-Martin Moulin said,
I was able to explain the
IPA structure, our goals
and our wish to develop
synergies between the IACP
and IPA. As police
organisations, we have a
common interest in
recruiting new members
from within the police force,
and therefore developing a
common network seems
both logical and constructive. I would like to thank Mr Johnson for his
time and I am looking forward to any future cooperation we will be
able to develop between IPA and IACP.”
The IPA International Professional Commission (IPC) will liaise with
the IACP to further develop this relationship.

Virtual
Global
Taskforce
Section Poland President and
International Professional
Committee member, Arkadiusz
Skrzypczak, took part in the
Virtual Global Taskforce meeting in Abu Dhabi in December 2012
on behalf of the Permanent Executive Board (PEB).
The Task Force, run by international law enforcement agencies, deals
with online exploitation of children.
Arkadiusz and Section UK member Jonathan McAuley ran an IPA
information stand promoting the IPA to participants. Arkadiusz is

Efforts Recognised
Kees Sal, the 3rd International Vice president, presented the Certificate of Merit, on behalf of the
Permanent Executive Bureau (PEB), to the Arthur Troop Pipes and Drum Band.
The award was in
recognition of the unique partnership between the police, members of the IPA and the public that the
band had fostered.
The chair of the band, Douwe Witsen, and members of the band were very proud and visbly moved by
the appreciation shown to them by the PEB and the IPA.
