Spring Campus Transformations

Mike King,

President and CEO, Jewish Senior

Life

If you’ve visited our campus recently, you’ve seen that we are making

tremendous progress on the construction of our Green House Cottages.

They will house nine homes for long term care residents and are on

schedule to open in September 2017. The space in each home is intentionally

designed to enhance the quality of life of residents by emphasizing privacy,

dignity, meaningful activity, relationships and independence as well as improved quality of care.

We’ve also begun renovation of the Jewish Home Farash Tower—incorporating the small home

model along with an expanded short-term rehabilitation program—which will be complete in

Spring 2019.

A lot is happening here at Jewish Senior

Life

. In this issue you’ll learn more about the capital

campaign supporting the project, our quality ratings, our recognition as one of Rochester’s Top

Workplaces, and more. Thank you for all that you do to support Jewish Senior

Life

and those

individuals we serve.

Farash Charitable Foundation

provides Generous Gift to Jewish

Senior

Life

Capital Campaign

Jewish Senior

Life

is very pleased to announce a transformational gift from the Max and Marian

Farash Charitable Foundation. This generous gift of $2,000,000 combined with the Farash

Foundation’s initial campaign pledge of $5,000,000, bringing their total gift to $7 million.

It will be the largest single gift to the Jewish Senior

Life

Power of One

capital campaign.

To commemorate the Farash Foundation for its generosity, the Jewish Home tower is now

named “Farash Tower” in honor of Max and Marian Farash, who were both quiet and generous

benefactors to the Rochester community. The Farash Foundation has been a long-standing partner

and supporter of Jewish Senior

Life

. This will help us take person-centered care to the next level

by updating our campus to redefine home and revolutionize care for the individuals we serve.
