To recognize and show appreciation for our employees who demonstrate
these Jewish Senior
values, we have three different award programs.
Leon Rosen Exceptional Customer Service Award:
Employee of the Month
Established in memory of Leon Rosen in 2009, to honor and inspire
those employees who go above and beyond the call of duty to provide
outstanding service to the residents at the Jewish Home of Rochester.
Leon Rosen’s motto, which he recited frequently to his children was: “Take an extra second and do it right.”
Upholding their father’s belief that it’s the little things that make all the difference, his children and their families
established the Leon Rosen Exceptional Customer Service Award. Residents and their families are encouraged to
nominate Jewish Home direct caregivers who exemplify these values.
The Annual Brodsky-Grossman Employee Recognition Award
This award was established to recognize and reward exemplary performance of Wolk Manor staff members.
The Brodsky-Grossman Supporting Foundation established the Brodsky-Grossman Employee Recognition Fund
to enable Wolk Manor residents, family members, and peers to recognize the dedication of non-management staff
of Wolk Manor or the Lodge at Wolk Manor for providing exceptional customer service.
The Annual Arthur & Louise Wasserman
Employee Recognition Award
The Wasserman Employee Recognition Award was created in 1984 by
Arthur Wasserman and his three sisters. The family was inspired to make
the gift to honor the memory of their beloved aunts, Sarah Lehrer and
Dorothy Silver, both of whom were residents of the Jewish Home and
benefited from the wonderful care provided by the Home’s dedicated
and caring staff.
The Wasserman award acknowledges outstanding employees across the
continuum of care in the following categories:
Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Environmental Services/Laundry, Food
Service, Direct Services, Indirect Services, and Supervisors
(nursing & non-nursing).
