How durable is Survivor-WARMS?
Survivor-WARMS is designed as a tough, recycled, rubber material so rugged
and strong you can even drive over it repeatedly without damage. It is ideal
for areas requiring DOT responsibility and supervision, or around protected
habitat or water conservation districts. Even in the unfortunate occurrence
of an accident, this material can be reused. It is constructed of recycled
car, bus, and truck tires and is ultraviolet resistant to safeguard against
deterioration. Estimated life is warranted for 10 years and under normal
conditions, may exceed 20 years.
How Easy Is Installation?
Continuous roll or sheet stock:
4' x 4' sheets can be used under existing
guardrail or cable barriers. On the sheets, cut-outs for posts can be pre-cut
or done on site for a snug fit. We offer a premium all weather urethane
sealant to seal the overlap area. The use of continuous roll on new
construction can afford major savings in labor costs for your bid by simply
punching the posts the rubber. Once the matting is in place the weight
of the mats, 2.5lbs per square foot, should be sufficient to keep them in
place but specially designed stainless steel spikes are available to safeguard
against such things as high winds or water tables.
