SpectraPour CA, a high value tire-derived rubber play surface, is
designed to meet the requirements of the California CalRecycle Tire
Derived Product (TDP) Grant Program. Other than changes to the
cushion matrix, SpectraPour CA is visually identical to SpectraPour
and has similar requirements for sub-base setup and installation.
SpectraPour CA is available in 24 colors and is used to create
playgrounds in a wide range of shapes and designs. Because it is formed
in place, SpectraPour CA can be designed and installed to provide ADA
accessible routes to existing playgrounds and accessibility within the play
surface area; retrofit existing play areas; and fill entire new playgrounds
with quality rubber surfacing. SpectraPour CA conforms to ASTM F1292
for head impact protection and ASTM F1951 for wheelchair accessibility.
SpectraPour CA is comprised of a cushion layer of recycled tire rubber
materials, with a ½” thick wearing surface of rubber granules with cushion
layer modifications to meet the Calreycle TDP requirements. Fall heights
from 4’ CFH to 12’ CFH may be accommodated with SpectraPour CA.
Additionally SpectraPour CA is IPEMA certified. IPEMA, the International
Play Equipment Manufacturer’s Association is an independent, third party
evaluator which reviews quality of materials installation and to maintain
SpectraTurf adherence to ASTM, ADA and other standards.
SpectraPour CA may be installed over Type 2 road base, concrete, or
asphalt surfaces.
