Holiday Season of Sharing
Downers Grove Comm #99 - Dr. Mark McDonald
Direct Action Students – Students at North High donated, wrapped and
delivered gifts for 175 needy families, Holiday Singing at Nursing Home
– Students from North High’s French Club sang holiday carols for
residents at a retirement home
Woodridge Tree Lighting – Students from South High’s Key Club
dressed as elves for a community tree lighting ceremony; the group also
donated gifts to needy families. Washington Relief – Students from
South High’s Steppers, African American Male Leadership Group and
DECA Club collected two truckloads of provisions to send to the
community of Washington, which was devastated by a tornado.

Members of the Athens High School Drama team, dressed as Santa, Mrs. Claus and Elves, prepare to
perform a holiday dance for a Trivia Night fundraiser to support the Arts.
A Flute Chorus consisting of many different types of flutes performs at the High School Band and Chorus
concert. Mrs. Beth Anderson, came out of retirement to lead the flute chorus for the concert.
