Overview

Our objective is to enable students of all abilities to develop their French or German language skills

to their full potential, equipping them with the knowledge to communicate in a variety of contexts

with confidence. Learning a language can bring many benefits. We strongly believe in languages as a

skill for life and something students should enjoy and find rewarding. The specification expands

students' cultural knowledge whilst developing their language skills

.

Students study all of the following themes over Key Stage 4 on which the assessments are based.

French: Maison Claire Fontaine, Burgundy – July of Year 10 (6 days and 5 nights) – approximate

German: Cologne – July of Year 10 (4 days and 3 nights) – approximate cost £450 (dependent on

numbers)
