Trafco’s purchase of Cortinovis Sictra is our main

of companies with NDC Infrared Engineering
and Beta LaserMike merging to create NDC
Technologies.
The move, described as “the best strategic
move for both NDC Integrated Engineering
and Beta LaserMike”, will see the new company
headquartered in Irwindale, California, USA. See

November also brings with it the IWCS technical
symposium. Our coverage of this three-day event,
in Providence, Rhode Island, USA, including its
conference and table-top exhibition, starts on
page 46.
This year there will also be a welcome extended
to the new yet-to-be-named chief executive and
a farewell to the current post-holder, John Barteld.
Mr Barteld’s rst conference was in 2005 and since
then IWCS has gone from strength to strength.
