SIXTH FORM COURSES

All subjects offer a full two year course. Thismeans that students

will no longer be required to sit external examinations in

Year 12 or will be able to study a subject for one year only.

Students at Rickmansworth School study three A Level subjects.

For students with a high points score, upon discussion with

the Head of Sixth Form and curriculum permitting, there may

be the possibility of studying four A Level subjects.

We expect that most parents would welcome advice on suitable

courses of study for their sons and daughters. To this end, we

have expressed our guidance in the form of a points score

calculated from GCSE results.

Our recommendations are based on the total points score

achieved at GCSE. We suggest a student with 44 - 53 points

takes 3 A Level subjects. Students with 54 points or more

may be able to study 4 A Level subjects. The following scale

is used in this calculation.
