GARY WOODCOCK

I am studying Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and I hope to

study Chemistry at university. My time at Rickmansworth has been

full of extra-curricular activities, I have been a part of many sports

teams, including hockey and cricket. The fantastic facilities available

to students at all times has aidedme inpursuingmy passions both

academically and in these sporting activities. The education I have

received here has, I believe, led me to the career path that I am

aiming to take. Without the amazing support from my teachers I

would not be in the position I am today. I feel privileged to beHead

Boyhereat Rickmansworthand it hasbeenanhonour togiveback

to the school community inmy final year at the school.

GEORGINA DECENT

I am currently studying Chemistry, Biology and Maths and I hope

to study medicine at university. I have been at Rickmansworth

since Year 7 and with the continued support and encouragement

of my teachers my confidence has grown, along with my passion

for science. Sixth Form has enhanced my determination and

ambitionandhasenabledme tobecomeastrong independent

learner. I believe that both theacademicandpersonalwellbeing

of every student is important, and as Head Girl I am currently

involvedinraisingawarenessofmentalhealthissues.SixthForm

has fully prepared me for my future career and has equipped

me with the necessary skills so I can fulfil my potential.

MUHAMMAD MERALI

I am studying English Literature, History and Economics and am

hoping to study law at a Russell Group university. I have been

heavily involved in extra-curricular activities such as hockey,

basketball and cricket attaining colours in these sports. These

haveencouragedand inspiredbothmycompetitivenature, and

sense of teamwork. Rickmansworth offers great opportunities to

travel. The New York and Washington trip combined the work

and play aspect of the school. Teachers and peers here have

aided me in unlocking and developing key skills which boost

confidence and help shape me as an individual. Without a

doubt, the support and motivation here will assist me in future

prospects.

KATIE BRIND

I am currently studying Biology, Psychology and History and I

completed English Literature and Language at AS Level. I am

looking to study Speech and Language Therapy at a Russell

Groupuniversity.Rickmansworthschoolhasencouragedmeto

take part in both sporting clubs, such as Netball and Athletics,

as well as following an academic path. I have been given

opportunities to immerse myself in the school community. The

Peer Education Project is a prime example of this, helping to

develop my communication and interpersonal skills. The variety

of school trips on offer, the History trip to America being one,

coupledwith the quality of teaching has aidedmy advancement

through school and thoroughly prepared me for the future.
