Figure 9 shows atmospheric emissions when normalised against production. As production has declined from

2000, the emissions per unit production have increased on the UKCS. However, since 2013, the emission intensity

has begun to fall. This downward trend continues in 2015 even with an increase in production, resulting in a

carbon emission intensity of 22,000 tonnes per million boe.
