PS Costruzioni automatic lines can
work as either a slave to the extruder
(online) or as an autonomous final
station.
By using a selector the operator can
choose either the first or the second
system. PS automatic coiling lines are
equipped with strapping machines,
thermoshrinking tunnels, boxing
machines, stackers and palletisers.
Lines include:
PS 350/8: suitable for flexible cables
from 1.5 to 8mm diameter; solid
cables from 1.5 to 6mm diameter with
a production of five coils 100ms long
per minute. It can also wind flat
cables.
PS 470/16: suitable for flexible cables
from 5 to 16mm diameter; solid cables
from 5 to 10mm diameter with a
production of 3.5 coils 100m long per
minute.
It can also wind flat cables and be
equipped with automatic tension
control for telephone cables.
PS 600/25: suitable for flexible cables
from 8 to 25mm diameter; solid cables
from 8 to 20mm diameter with a
production of 2.5 to 3 coils 100m long
per minute.
PS 750/30: suitable for flexible cables
from 8 to 30mm diameter with a
production of 2.5 coils 100m long per
minute.

Precision coiling unit: This offers
automatic precision winding at high
speed. The material is positioned
perfectly, allowing longer lengths per
reel and higher pay-off speed of the
cable during installation and use. The
unit can be used directly in the
production line or as part of a
rewinding line. Being 100 per cent
automatic it eliminates many safety
issues.
Ripcords: These are made of polyester
or aramid and used for easy removal
of the cable jacket. They are available
as customised types in a variety of
thicknesses, breaking strengths and
lengths, coated, coloured, non-wick,
water-blocking and flat-shaped.
Water swellable yarns: Roblon is
introducing a new range of water
swellable yarns that offer high
absorption rates while the yarns
remain very smooth and have a very
low dust level.
Due to their features, the water
swellable yarns are suitable both as
swell yarns and as binder yarns.
