solutions and personal support to
ensure customer satisfaction.
It will present the latest advancements
and technology highlights, including
for the production of building wire,
automotive wire, optical fibre UV-
coating, fibre proof testing and the
manufacture of fibre optic cables.
Particular highlights will be the new
technologies on display for the
production of HV power cable
jacketing with metal tape forming in
tandem process, and the high speed

More than 170,000 Schmidt tension
meters are in use worldwide. Wherever
precision and quality are essential in
production and processing, the meters
are vital in production monitoring,
quality control and process engineering.
New developments from the company
include the FS-422 online tension
sensor series, which is now available
with a new feature to meet the latest
demands for digital signal processing.
The advantage of this is the easy
installation of the connecting cables
(maximum 1,000m), the independence
to electronic noise and the direct
connection to computers in order to
control or store data in the production
process. Up to 32 tension sensors can
be connected to a single PC to
display, store and analyse tension
readings continuously.
The TSW online tension sensor is for
measuring the tension of cables and
wires with tension up to 100 daN; a
new sensor with large guide rollers is
available.
Because of the design and geometrics
of the sensor, the bending of the
material to be measured is minimised.
It is suitable for wire and cables with a
maximum diameter of 10mm.
The DNW handheld tension meter is a
new version of the DN mechanical
handheld tension meter series.
This provides a tension range up to
400 daN and special guide rollers for
closed force systems as pre-tensioned
ropes, guy wires, etc, with larger
diameters up to 6mm.
Other control instruments offered by
the company include:
• Force gauges and test stands
• Universal testing machines
• Wire terminal testers
• Tachometers and stroboscopes
• Thickness gauges
• Shore hardness testers
