MBS Logistics in Hamburg successfully arranged and
carried out a „Heavy Cargo” shipment via sea freight
to Jakarta, Indonesia.
The shipment consisted of a total of 12 packages
weighing in at 192.4 tons with a volume of 369.1 cbm.
The wooden crates, which were shipped at the end of
July, contained a generator (9.18m x 4.97m x 4.76m
/ 167.23 to.) as well as diverse accessories. From the
very beginning of the planning in June, the first priority
was the coordination of the completion of the gene-
rator and all it’s accessories and the punctual delivery
of the cargo to the terminal in Hamburg’s harbor. The
generator as well as 5 of it’s accessories underwent
the final production in the Czech Republic while the
remaining 7 pieces were finished in England. Due to
the size and weight of the cargo out of the Czech Re-
public, it had to be delivered in Hamburg per barge.
The pieces from England were able to be delivered
using a more conventional form of transport – a truck.
