Return of ICMA‑RC Property On or before an associate’s last day of employment, all ICMA‑RC property must be returned in good condition. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: P P Security access card and, if applicable, office keys P P Calculator, computers/laptops, printers, facsimile machines, copiers, software disks

P P Mobile telephones, wireless cards, and any other communication devices P P Books, manuals, software and other material purchased by ICMA‑RC P P All business-related files, documents, correspondence and reports P P Corporate credit card and/or telephone cards

In addition, ICMA‑RC requires that all confidential information be returned, including copyrighted materials; proprietary computer software and programs; systems analyses; paper and computerized files and lists of actual or prospective clients, participants, and/or contacts; financial transactions; financial data; new- product information; specific ICMA‑RC marketing strategies; internal administrative memos, letters, email messages; or any other information that could be construed as proprietary in the normal course of business. Associates who leave or plan to leave employment with ICMA‑RC must not remove or transfer to any other associate, individual, or organization any of these assets without advance proper authorization. ICMA‑RC expects its associates to take proactive measures to protect the integrity of the assets described above. Human Resources will coordinate the return of ICMA‑RC property with Associates. Associates who do not return ICMA‑RC property will be responsible for the cost of the property, or legal action may occur to reclaim it. Non-solicitation of ICMA‑RC Clients and Associates Associates who leave ICMA‑RC are expressly prohibited from soliciting business from current or prospective ICMA‑RC clients within a year of departure, unless this prohibition is contrary to applicable local or state law. In addition, they are prohibited from soliciting current ICMA‑RC associates within a year of departure for the purpose of persuading them to move to another company or organization, unless this prohibition is contrary to applicable local or state law. Once associates leave ICMA‑RC, they may not represent themselves as current employees for the purpose of soliciting business. Similarly, once associates leave ICMA‑RC, their ability to conduct business using ICMA‑RC business cards, brands, trademarks, etc., is strictly prohibited. Final Paycheck Human Resources works with Corporate Accounting to prepare the final paycheck as required by applicable law. The check includes salary, plus qualifying earned and unused vacation time. All time reports must be submitted to the Corporate Accounting Department before any earned and unused vacation time can be paid. Any money owed to the corporation (e.g., travel advance, tuition reimbursement, or relocation expenses) must be paid in full prior to the associate’s last day of employment. In addition, all incurred expenses on the corporate credit card, whether for personal or business, must be cleared by submitting an expense report using our electronic expense reporting system prior to the associate’s last day of employment. Human Resources will contact an associate if reimbursement to ICMA‑RC is necessary.
