HOLIDAYS Based on the schedule observed by the New York Stock Exchange, ICMA‑RC provides regular full-time associates with annual paid holidays. ICMA‑RC observes the following annual holidays: P P New Year’s Day P P Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. P P Presidents’ Day P P Good Friday P P Memorial Day P P Independence Day P P Labor Day P P Thanksgiving Day P P Christmas Day Regular fulltime associates receive 7.5 hours of Holiday Pay for the holiday. Part-time associates earn holiday pay on a prorated basis based on the number of hours they are regularly scheduled to work. Nonexempt associates who are approved by their supervisor to work on the holiday are paid double time for the hours worked, and will be paid 7.5 hours (for full time associates) of Holiday Pay.

FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE

Family and Medical Leave is a complex regulation. If you have questions after reviewing this material, contact your supervisor or your Human Resources manager for clarification or guidance.

In accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and D.C. FMLA, ICMA‑RC will grant an unpaid leave to an eligible associate for any of the following reasons: P P Birth or care of a newborn P P Adoption, or foster care placement of a child P P To provide necessary care for a family member related to you by blood, legal custody, marriage, a child who lives with you and for whom you permanently assume and discharge parental responsibility, or a person with whom you share or have shared, within the last year, a mutual residence and with whom you maintain a committed relationship, who has a serious health condition, or P P A serious health condition which makes you unable to perform the essential functions of your position There are two limitations on FMLA leave. First, if both you and your spouse are employed by ICMA‑RC, your combined total leave for the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child, or to care for a parent with a serious health condition shall not exceed 16 weeks during a 24-month period. Second, leave for the birth, adoption or foster care placement of a child must be concluded within 12 months of the birth, adoption or placement. In addition to other types of FMLA leave described above, ICMA‑RC also offers Servicemember Care Leave and leave in connection with active duty for any qualifying “exigency” (i.e., urgent situation).
