ICMARC Associate Handbook August 2016

CAREER CELEBRATION PROGRAMS ICMA‑RC’s Service Award Program recognizes associates for their service and loyalty to the corporation. Eligibility Associates in the following categories are eligible for service awards: P P Full-time: All regular full-time associates who meet the requirement for years of service P P Part-time: All regular part-time associates who meet the requirement for years of service and work a minimum of 1,000 hours per year

Note: Rehired associates will have any previous service counted toward total years of service. Service time in a contract temporary status will not be counted.

Milestone Award Levels After one year of service, you will receive a letter of recognition from the ICMA‑RC President and CEO. Milestone awards are presented upon the completion of five years of service and every five years thereafter. For each five-year milestone, you can choose from various gifts. An anniversary packet, which contains all relevant information about the choice of gift, is provided to eligible associates in advance of their anniversary. A career celebration program is held periodically to honor associates at corporate headquarters who are celebrating milestone anniversaries. During the program, the associate is recognized by his or her supervisor, manager or division head. Awards for field associates are mailed directly to the associate and should be acknowledged and celebrated by field management.

CORPORATE COMMITTEES, PROGRAMS AND PUBLICATIONS The Peer Roundtable

The Peer Roundtable (PRT) is a group of associates readily available to advocate on behalf of ICMA‑RC associates and their needs. The PRT provides an alternative channel for problem resolution by serving as an additional resource for all associates who wish to have their opinions, perspectives, and issues heard by an impartial roundtable of peers. The goal of the PRT is to empower associates in their efforts to resolve perceived unfairness or insensitivity to their concerns. The Peer Roundtable also oversees the corporate associate suggestion program—Here’s an Idea: The RC Exchange — and manages the ICMA‑RC Leadership Award program. Information about these programs, as well as a listing of the current members of the Peer Roundtable, can be found on the corporate internet under the Groups tab. Members of the Peer Roundtable are selected on a rotating basis by current Roundtable members in consultation with Human Resources.
