G uinea P igs

A guinea pig is a small animal that can be a great pet. It is a short, stout with short legs. It is approximately 20 – 50 cm in length. A fully grown adult guinea pig is about 13cm long. A guinea pig has eyes on either side of their head and small petal shaped ears. Guinea pigs have four toes on their front feet and three claws on their back feet. Guinea pig’s heads are often blunt and their mouths are triangle shaped with twenty teeth. Guinea pigs can be a variety of colours including black, tan, cream, brown and white. They are mostly awake at dusk or dawn. Guinea pigs stretch to get comfortable and can stand on their hind legs without leaning on anything. They squeak, chirp and chatter instead of talking. Guinea pigs are herbivores, so they don’t eat meat. They normally have litters of 3 – 4 babies and sometimes more. Guinea pigs are cute, little cuddly pets. A guinea pig is a short, stout creature and guinea pigs are herbivores. They are animals with no tail and come in all different shapes and sizes.
