Bayway Banter - October 2019

Managers Report - October

Hello Everyone,

Well it’s been a very busy time over the past few months with lots of changes throughout the village. Several sites have been cleared and new dwellings have arrived to fill them. The new pool has been installed and is receiving the finishing touches while the new sites at the old workshop area are coming along in leaps and bounds. So it won’t be long before we will be seeing new homes installed in that part of the village too. Don’t forget - Melbourne cup is on November 5, so if your horse didn’t get past the post last year then perhaps this year you will have better luck in this year’s sweepstakes. The village will have its annual race day event in the community hall for everyone keen to join in the festivities. Be sure to get in early for the sweeps and a day of fun before the gates spring on the big race at 3pm. Next month we also have Bayway Village Xmas Market Sat 16 th Nov. There’s bound to be something for everybody on the day, with all the good food, prizes and bargains on offer for residents, family and friends. So mark that on your calendar as a day to remember. Thank you to the Bayway Village maintenance team for their efforts in supporting the works of removal, site preparation and installation of new dwellings throughout the village. They have also been very busy contributing towards the construction of the new pool and preparation for establishing new residential sites at the old pool area. Keeping the village running smoothly is constantly demanding for the groundsmen and they have done great work in keeping up with the added challenges over the past few months. Remember the school holidays continue through to Monday the 14 th Oct, so please be mindful that we may have a few more children than usual around and remember to respect the 10km speed limit. Also be thoughtful of visitors and guests parking and the importance of keeping the streets within the village free of vehicles that will block traffic flow. In Bayway Village we provide a green waste collection every Tuesday morning for small bundles of garden waste that can be placed in a container or cardboard box. If you need to have a larger pick-up then please contact the office so the groundsmen can be notified. Hope you all have a lovely October Peter Bayway Office will be closed on Monday 7th October 2019 Due to Public Holiday. We will reopen on Tuesday 8th October at 10.00am Enjoy the long weekend everyone. Please Note: Recycling will be picked up with Green waste on Tuesday due to the Public Holiday.
