S tanley J. Heller is a man of many skills and qualifications whose experience as a board- certified cardiologist and educator prepared him for his role as a partner in Cirignani, Heller & Harman, LLP. His law firm handles malpractice suits and provides their clients with highly trained attorneys who have the skills necessary to examine, analyze and justify X-rays and MRI reports that might have gone unnoticed. Dr. Heller has been working with the firm since 1988. In order to be the best in his field, Dr. Heller obtained a Bachelor of Arts and an MD from Johns Hopkins University in 1962 and 1965 respectively. In 1988 he received a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University and gained admittance to the Illinois State Bar following graduation. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

He began his medical career as a resident physician at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. Wanting to impart his knowledge to future doctors, he became an instructor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1968, an assistant professor at Rush Medical College in 1970, an associate professor at the Loyola Stritch College of Medicine in 1971, and a clinical associate professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 1980. Dr. Heller continued practicing in between teaching as an attending physician at St. Joseph Hospital from 1971 to 1984, Grant Hospital from 1972 to 1985, and Augustana Hospital from 1973 to 1986, as well as a consulting physician for Columbus Hospital from 1980 to 1984. Dr. Heller remains active in law and medicine through his affiliations and memberships, which include fellow emeritus of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, the American Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association. He is a fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine and was a cardiology fellow for the U.S. Public Health Service in Chicago.
