Dr. Alpern has served as director of many boards, including those of Century City Hospital, the National Health Foundation, the Los Angeles Business Council, the American Heart Association, Inc., the International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators, and CSIMS. He has also served as medical director of Executive Fit Health. During his lengthy career as a cardiologist, Dr. Alpern has imparted his knowledge through his contributions to professional journals. He is affiliated with medical organizations such as the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians, and is a diplomate of both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Medical Specialties.
