With over 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Bøe has earned a favorable reputation in the field. To prepare for her career, she earned a Candidata Magisterii from the University of Oslo in 1982. After acquiring the necessary credentials, she began her career at IBMNorway, serving as an assistant systems engineer from 1983 to 1984, a systems engineer from 1984 to 1987, and as an advisory systems engineer from 1987 to 1990. With the experience gained from her previous positions, she began freelancing as a computer consultant and webmaster in 1992. a board member of a number of local organizations, such as the Grymyrgjengen Choir and Theatre Group for Children, Vestre Gran Idrettslag, the Gran chapter of Mental Helse, and the Gran chapter of Foreningen Norden. She has also served with the local civic development group Fokus Vestre Gran and as co-producer and chief IT officer for the outdoor stage play Randsfjordspelet, a play about one of Norway’s longest labor conflicts, which took place in the Randsfjord area in the 1930s. Her dedication and contributions to systems engineering led to her receipt of the IBM Professional Excellence Award in 1986 and the IBM Professional Marketing Award in 1988 and 1990. Ms. Bøe has been featured in the ninth, 10 th , 11 th , and 12 th editions of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, as well as several editions of Who’s Who in the World. She currently serves as a web and communications manager for Granlund Kompetansesenter AS after being a consultant for the company for five years prior. The company specializes in educating and training personnel for the construction business.
