A s the director of Cranberry Coast Concert Corral, Nancy Lee Cornish has proven to have the skills and experience necessary to succeed. With a passion for music, Ms. Cornish was a music teacher for several institutions, including Leavenworth West Junior High, Chanute High School, Allen County Community College and Neosho County Community College. She continued to impart her knowledge in the teaching capacity as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Kansas. Ms. Cornish is currently a music instructor at Laramie County Community College, a position she has held since 2003, as well as a keyboard musician and ordained minister for Christ Community College in Rhode Island. In addition to her musical ability, she is a strong, dedicated leader who has served as director of the St. Cecilia Choir, music director of First United Methodist Church, and director of St. Mary’s Cathedral Choir. extending a helping hand in her community, she also served as president of the Neosho Valley Arts Council from 1974 to 1976 and as secretary of the Governor’s Mansion Foundation from 2003 to 2005. Ms. Cornish is a member of the Music Educators National Conference and the Wyoming Music Educators Association, having previously served as the latter’s vice president of higher education from 2004 to 2006. To prepare for her career, she earned a Bachelor of Music Education in 1969 and a Master of Music Education in 1975 from the University of Kansas. In recognition of her contributions to her field, she has been featured in several editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who of American Women, and the 27 th edition of Who’s Who in the World.
