EDITOR’S LETTER A mericans like to supersize things, and that includes their annual convention for all things geek: Comic-Con International. Satisfying the enormous appetites of sci-fi fans, anime lovers, filmgoers, TV addicts, pop vinyl, and action figure and comic book collectors, Comic-Con takes over the Californian city of San Diego for four days each year, bringing with it a carnival atmosphere. STACK had the opportunity to cross it off our bucket list this year – from a meeting with current Doctor Who Peter Capaldi and Who / Sherlock showrunner Steven Moffat, to breathing the same air as Jennifer Lawrence at the Mockingjay - Part 2 press conference, as well as attending a panel in the Convention Centre’s legendary Hall H featuring Quentin Tarantino and his new film The Hateful Eight , and marvelling at the creativity of the legion of cosplayers. Comic-Con delivered more than we expected, and o ur coverage begins on page 10, followed by all our regular features and reviews. Happy shopping...
