Also served as Secretary, Vice President and 2017 President for the Association of Virginia Ruritans. NATIONAL: Ruritan National Foundation Trustee (5 yrs); 1999 Foundation President; Non-Board Member Publications Committee (2016-18); Non-Board Member Constitution and Bylaws Committee; participated in Flag Ceremony; served as Sergeant-at-Arms; attended over 25 Ruritan National Conventions as a Delegate; Tom Downing Fellow. EDUCATION: Kellam High School; Virginia Wesleyan University (Elementary Education K-7); Old Dominion University (Masters of Education with endorsement in School Administration). OCCUPATION: 42 years in Education (20 yrs as 3 rd and 4 th Grade Teacher; 22 yrs as School Administrator); Har-Bess Farms Permanent Scholarship Fund; Davenport Family Endowed Scholarship at Virginia Wesleyan University. OTHER: Member at Cava Christian Church; Past Board Member of International Alliance for Invitational Education (5 yrs.); Board Member of Sentara Community Advisory Board; Board Member of Pungo Strawberry Festival.
