Kara Lumbley

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Mark Twain

Kara Lumbley was born in a small town in East Texas in 1986. She grew up with an astounding love for reading and writing. She received numerous honors starting from elementary school all the way through high school for reading the most books and making 100 percent on every test, making her the top literary reader through school. She began writing poetry and short stories at a very young age, and a teacher took notice of Kara’s poems in the fifth grade and sent in one of her writings, which was published in a poetry book. While her passion for books was great, she went to the University of Southern Florida, where she received her bachelor’s degree in accounting, and graduated with a near perfect GPA. She now manages finances for two businesses as well as owns her own children’s clothing boutique named Lumbley Loft. She is involved in numerous charities in her hometown involving children and animals, two things she is also very passionate about. She published her first two suspense mystery books in 2016. The first one, Number Four , took her a total of two weeks to complete, spending time each night writing after putting her kids in bed. These books are just the beginning of a series she created known as The Savannah Series . She will be publishing two more to add to the series in 2018, and many, many more to come! Keep her on your watch list! She knows how to keep readers wrapped and wanting more!
