Sarabeth Pollock begins her second year as the Coordinator of Ath letic Academic Support for the University of San Diego. She has worked as a tutor in the Athletic Department since the fall of 200 1. She serves as the academic advisor for all sports except Football and Row– ing . Her responsibilities include the supervision of the Study Hall and the administration of the tutoring and mentoring programs. Currently, the AcademicSupport Program employs over 25 tutors who represent avariety of majors across campus, as well as over 12 mentors who are graduate students pursuing their masters degrees in USD's Counseling Program. The Study Hall and computer lab are open for student-athlete use all year long; during the semester they are open 60 hours per week and provide a quiet, studious atmosphere to foster academic excellence. Sarabeth graduated from USO in 2002 in the Honors Program, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History. She speaks Spanish and French fluently. A 5th generation San Diegan , she resides in Point Loma with her family. In her spare time, Sarabeth enjoys working on her novel that she hopes to have published by the end of the year. Robyn Fortney begins her second year as the Coordinator of AthleticStudent Services for USO.She coordinates the CHAMPS/Life Skills program which promotes the personal development of student-athletes. Also, she is an Academic Counselor to Football, Women's Rowing and Men's Rowing.

From nearby Rancho Bernardo, Fortney earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications,with aminor in Leadership, from USO in 2002. She was a four-year member of the USO women's basketball team between 1998- 2002, including the 2000 squad that advanced to the NCAA Tournament. In 2004, she received her Master's Degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco.

University of San Diego Sports Medicine
The main responsibilities of the University of San Diego Sports Medicine Staff is injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of all USO student-athletes. The Sports Medicine staff overseas sixteen intercollegiate teams and ap– proximately 400 USO student-athletes.Carolyn Greer, Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine, is in her 29 th year as USD's Head Certified Athletic Trainer.
A 1975 graduate of San Diego State University with aBachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education, Carolyn went on to earn her Mas– ter's in Sports Medicine in 1978. Over the years she has taught
Carolyn Greer classes in Sports Medicine and had numerous articles published in a variety of journals. Carolyn is assisted by Suzi Higgins, Paul Signorelli and Wil Filamor. The USO Sports Medicine team also consists of two orthopedic surgeons, one dentist, one internist and eight student interns. The USO training room is located on the first floor of the Jenny Craig Pavilion . The training room features a treatment area, a hydro-therapy room and taping stations. The training room is also equipped with cardiovascular and rehabilitation equipment.
