Can the CC method be both efficient AND accurate…?

The less scerma varies the more I can reduce the number of directions (increase of efficiency) without a considerable loss of accuracy The approximation by CC that scerma is transported linearly will only break down (ray artefacts) at increased distances where r 2 ΔΩ=ΔS >> Discretization artefacts decrease for: • coarse voxel resolution (voxel cross section ~ ΔS) • Rapidly decreasing kernels (lower E)
