August 2017 Dear Residents of New Gloucester, August 2017 Dear Residents of New Gloucester,

THANK YOU! On behalf of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, it has been our pleasure to care for town residents this past year. We sincerely appreciate the support you have given the agency through the town meeting process. Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice provides skilled home care and hospice services to the residents of New Gloucester. Our home care services allow residents to recover safely from an illness or injury in the comfort of their own home. For those facing the end of life, hospice offers the care they need to spend their final days at home surrounded their loved ones, and as important, hospice offers emotional support to family members as they cope with the loss of a loved one. In 2016, Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice cared for 121 New Gloucester residents and made 1,849 visits to patient’s homes.  57 residents received skilled home care enabling them to recover safely at home,  10 residents received hospice care. Of those, 8 received extra support and care at our Hospice House in Auburn.  46 residents were served by our Transitional Care Team  In addition, 2 residents received support from one of our specially trained volunteers. Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice was founded with the mission that no one is ever denied skilled home care or hospice services based on their ability to pay. Allocations received from the town of New Gloucester specifically support care and volunteer services we provide to town residents. Last year, we provided $7,216 in subsidized care and support to New Gloucester residents. Thank you for your commitment and support.
