School district: Nokomis CUSD 22 One thing you would like people to know about your school district: Our Pre-Kindergarten program is NAEYC Accredited; while the faculty and staff work collaboratively with each other within our PLC’s to provide a quality education for all students. High School: Triopia Jr./Sr. High School Colleges or Universities: Western Illinois University – History and Physical Education (BA); University of Illinois–Springfield – Educational Administration (MA) and Superintendent’s Endorsement; Capella University – Leadership and Educational Administration (Ph.D.) Family: Wife, Marsha, 15 years; Step-son, Matthew, 29; Daughters Faith, 13 and Jaycie, 10 Years on IASA Board: 1 Years as educator: 20

One thing people probably would be surprised to know about you: I was the youngest member to be elected to the Village of Chapin Board of Trustees while still in college. Biggest concern about public education: Funding for all schools, but especially for rural schools that depend on GSA and Mandated Categoricals to serve students effectively. The lack of support and resources we receive from the State of Illinois on new initiatives and programs. Most encouraging thing about public education: The hard-working, dedicated professionals that we have working in our schools that make a difference in kids’ lives.
