Finally, one of our larger projects for the year is the possibility of participating in the state’s Climate Action Plan program. Grant money is available for communities wishing to implement programs that fit in with the efforts to control climate change and its impact on the environment, wildlife, and people. The ERC committed to working with Rachel Lyn Rumson as ‘service provider’. She will submit an application to the state for grant money to be hired as our service provider. If approved, the ERC will gather information from community members, assess the needs and wants of the town and residents in order to focus on the projects most important to our community. In 2022, we accepted Joanne McKee’s resignation from the ERC after 11 years of active participation. Sabbathday Lake representative Dick Allen also stepped down at the end of his term. Member Alicia Howe resigned as well. New members were elected by the Select Board and include Noreen Williams and Sarah Fitzpatrick. Continuing members include Chair Lauren Jordan, Vice-chair Laura Fralich, Secretary Diane Lamson, and out-going Chair Doug Smith. Our new Select Board Liaison is Peter Bragdon, and Sarah Rodriques continues as Parks and Rec Liaison.

Respectfully submitted,

Lauren Jordan
