USDEC launches USA Cheese Guild The CMAB is a member of the U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) and attended a recent Cheese Marketing Meeting whereby the official announcement was made that the concept of a U.S.A. Cheese Guild was becoming a reality. The USA Cheese Guild™ was established by the world’s largest cheese producer and exporter (USA) as a center of excellence to build global cheese knowledge. It is managed by the U.S. Dairy Export Council. USDEC provides a curriculum taught by USA Cheese experts and chefs in the country the cheese is to be sold. The idea is to create a knowledge base on USA Cheese throughout the developing Asian countries and Mexico, where most of our exports go. Once the in-country participants pass the course, there are a couple of other levels. The participants become USA Cheese experts in their own land, making them ambassadors for USA Cheese. Our goal is to get as many California Artisan Cheeses in the program to grow on the popularity of Califoirnia as well as the USA.


